SIAPAN BATTLE FLAG

Battle flag flown during bombardment of Siapan in June 1945

These flags were flown on the USS Washington BB56 during the bombardment of Saipan in 1944. They have been on display at the Officers Club at the Long Beach Naval Station until the base closed. They are now in the possession of the Los Angeles Maritime Museum, Berth 84, Foot of 6th Street in San Pedro, California.
